When combined with theexhaust stream from a dieselvehicle, it breaks down emissions, transforming them into nitrogen and water.

Without this valuable solution, theemissions produced by vehicleswould increasingly compound,putting the atmosphere, and human life, at risk.

DEF was introduced as a marketable product in 2010.Afterthe EPA standards were revised to reduce harmful pollutants,DEF was used as a way to reduce pollution while still promoting vehicle efficiency.

While most car manufacturers have made adjustments totheir engines in an effort to reduce diesel emissions, DEF can still help.

If your vehicle was manufactured after 2014, there’s a goodchance that it requires DEF in order to function properly.Trucks, industrial trucks, vans, and certain luxury carsshould all be maintained with DEF to ensure efficiency.

Most diesel vehicles have a dedicated storage tank to hold diesel fuel exhaust fluid. Typically located next to the fuel tank; the nozzle for diesel fuel exhaust fluid is much smaller than the fuel tank, making it difficult to mix the two up.
